About Us
We are a family owned fun loving dance school who promotes fun and enjoyment as our main priority, because learning different genres of dance in a safe, nurturing environment promotes self-esteem and positive attitudes.
At Desiree Dance Academy we focus on the sheer enjoyment of dance and strive to encourage everyone to do their best whether they are 3 or 73 years old, without the stressful atmosphere of exams and competitions.
We have 3 fully air conditioned studios with viewing access via 1 way windows and TV monitors in our 2 story purpose built studio in Butler.
Mum +Me
This class is for children aged 18 months – 3 years old and is introducing them to dance and music. A parent/grandparent also participates while the dancer explores the world of dance and rhythm through the use of instruments, ribbons and tumbling mats to the music of Hi-5 and The Fairies.
Ballet
Ballet is the basis of all forms of dance and helps improve posture, core strength, balance and muscle co-ordination in a disciplined, structured environment. We start with the basic steps of ballet in our Primary classes developing both Barre and centre technique, all the way to our Pre Senior and ...
Jazz
Leaps, turns and kicks make up the basic steps for Jazz dancing using fast up beat modern music. Taking a Jazz class can help improve co-ordination, flexibility, core strength and dance technique.
